They call him Europe's dirtiest man.
Ludvik Dolezal, 58, goes to great lengths to preserve what he calls his ideal habitat: a smoldering mound of ashes.
According to the UK's South West News Service, Dolezal, who lives in Novy Bydzov, Czech Republic, "burns whatever he finds to create the dirty pile before crawling into it to sleep. He has even burnt his mattress and duvet in order to achieve the perfect mound of fiery remains."
The news organization notes that passersby have compared Dolezal to a devil from folklore, but really, he's a lot like most people... or at least he used to be.
"One day I simply decided to quit my job," Dolezal told SWNS. "That was years ago. Since then I've staying here with the fire."
It's not like he smokes animal poop, after all.
