Here's Your First Terrifying Look At 'Rosemary's Baby'

The latest reincarnation of Ira Levin's 1967 book "Rosemary's Baby" is set to air this week as a four-hour, two-part miniseries. Judging by HuffPost TV's exclusive first look, it's ready to terrify anyone brave enough to tune in.

The two minute clip includes commentary from the cast and director Agnieszka Holland, offering a closer look at how Rosemary (Zoe Saldana), a beautiful newlywed, ends up as host for the spawn of Satan. And while the mini-series shares plenty of similarities with the Roman Polanski's classic 1968 film adaptation, the cast warns they've upped the ante for a modern re-telling.

"Our version brings a little bit of the horror back in," Patrick J. Adams, who plays Rosemary's husband Guy Woodhouse. "The real heart and soul of the story lies in the psychological terror."

And there's plenty of that. Rosemary is happily expecting before strange things begin to occur -- none of which can be pinned on those pregnancy hormones. From an elite society that doubles as an underground satanic cult, to creepy prophetic messages, disturbing sex scenes and witches, the new series is the stuff of nightmares.

Get ready. Fear is about to be born.

"Rosemary's Baby" airs May 11 and 15 at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
