Sure to generate attention -- and perhaps even controversy -- a new ad for men's fashion label Paisley features a figure in a burqa having lunch, shopping for a goldfish and going about the day. Eventually the Rolls Royce-traveling figure comes face to face with a woman at the top of a staircase, and ... well, it's a head-scratcher all the way to the surprise ending, but worth the time.
"It actually might make you think," Creativity Online noted.
On the other hand, Jezebel's Isha Aran wrote: "It's clearly more a fashion statement than a political or religious one, but do we really need to keep on employing a narrow stereotypical understanding of a widely debated and diversely expressed religious practice to make a fashion statement?"
