One Of The Best Saves In The NHL Playoffs Wasn't Made By A Goalie (VIDEO)

The Boston Bruins couldn't put the puck into the net on Monday night in Game 6, even when they got it past Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price. When a hard shot deflected into the air and fell behind Price, Montreal's David Desharnais preserved the shutout.

Zdeno Chara tried to get Boston on the scoreboard with nine minutes left in the third period with a slap shot. Price stuck his glove out and blocked the shot but couldn't get a hold of the puck. When the puck landed behind Price, it looked like it was about to cross the goal line. That's when Desharnais stepped in. The Canadiens center jumped head-first into the goal and knocked the puck away from the net through Price's legs.

"The puck's right there and I didn't want it to go in the net, and I just pushed it with my hand. I didn't know if they were going to call it a penalty shot or whatever, but I like the chances on Carey on a penalty shot more than a goal right there," Desharnais said after the 4-0 win, via NHL.com.

It seems hard to argue with that logic. With the shutout win, the Canadiens forced a Game 7 in Boston.
