Well, this is the most exciting news we've heard in a while.
Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue may be getting way sexier in 2015. That is, if Robyn Lawley's casting call gets accepted. The gorgeous model/DJ posted a link to her submission on Facebook on Monday evening, and from the looks of the mag's description ("She looks like this, and she's a DJ ... can you say #blessed?") she has a pretty solid chance of gracing the coveted issue next year.
On the application, Lawley reveals things like when she feels sexiest, what her personal style looks like and how important music is to her.
Of course, at this point, being featured in a magazine is old news for Lawley, who graced the cover of Australian Cosmo back in March and one for Vogue Italia before that.
Still, there is something so thrilling about the possibility of a plus-size model being featured not only in a magazine, but THE issue of THE magazine. Lawley would be a welcome addition to the slew of beautiful women who pose each year, and an even more exciting shift in direction for the glossy to include a greater variety of women.
We'll have to wait until next year to see if she makes it, but we'll certainly be rooting for her until then.
