For Kitten Who Survived Tornado, It's All Good Mews

There's good mews to report out of Cedarville, Ohio, after a meteorologist rescued a kitten from tornado rubble there amid the wreckage of several destroyed homes.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek came across the kitten while surveying the damage after a tornado, reports WHIO. The team promptly wrapped the animal in a jacket and kept it warm in their news truck.

The kitten has since been reunited with her family and is said to be doing well.

The National Weather Service has rated the tornado, which touched down Wednesday, an EF3, with winds up to 145 mph. According to the Weather Channel, two people were injured in the storm.
