When President Obama bid farewell to White House press secretary Jay Carney on Friday, nobody seemed to see it coming. It was a SHOCKING SHOCKER! Here is a tweet about the surprisingness of it.

HuffPost's own Jen Bendery noticed that the hug was really Carney's idea: Obama tried to go in for a handshake and got "Carneyed" (a term we invented for this purpose).
