'50 Shades! The Musical' Cast Members Perform At New York's Birdland (VIDEO)

WATCH: New Musical Skewers Bestselling Erotic Phenomenon

The talented cast of " 50 Shades! The Musical -- The Original Parody" wowed the crowd at one of New York's iconic nightspots with one of their show's most memorable numbers.

For their Birdland act, stars Ashley Ward, Kaitlyn Frotton and Chloe Williamson performed one of the Off Broadway show's most memorable numbers, appropriately titled "50 Shades!"

Directed by Al Samuels and Rob Lindley, "50 Shades! The Musical" playfully skewers E. L. James’s erotic bestseller, Fifty Shades of Grey, and its surrounding hype. The show features music and lyrics by Amanda Blake Davis, Jody Shelton, Ashley Ward, Al Samuels and Dan Wessels, and is currently playing at New York's Elektra Theater.

"You don’t have to be familiar with the material to enjoy '50 Shades!,' though fans of the book will be rewarded by some of the direct references, such as Christian’s anthem 'I Don’t Make Love,' taken from a line of dialogue in the story." Jenelle Riley of Variety wrote. "Regardless, newcomers and fans alike should enjoy getting down and dirty with this talented company."

Similarly, Andy Webster of The New York Times called the show "entertaining" and "an exuberant takeoff" that "handily delivers the goods."
