The trucker charged in the deadly crash that injured comedian Tracy Morgan has apparently taken to Twitter to defend himself.
Kevin Roper, 35, is charged with death by auto and assault by auto after the Saturday morning crash on the New Jersey Turnpike that killed comedian James McNair and badly injured Morgan who is still hospitalized.
Authorities alleged in a criminal complaint that Roper had not slept in 24 hours, but in tweets that multiple media outlets have attributed to Roper, the trucker denies that claim.
He also said media attention is the reason he's facing such serious charges.
It could not be immediately confirmed that Roper is behind the Twitter account, but the Daily News reports that one of his "friends" said the account does belonged to Roper.
As for the accident i have some things to get off my chest that the media and police have neglected to report. First off i never said i was
