GLAAD And Instagram Launch #PridePortraits Photo Campaign

Showcase Your Pride On Instagram For Your Chance To Win Big

This month, showcasing what LGBT Pride means to you could pay off in more ways than one.

GLAAD has teamed up with Instagram for a new initiative called #PridePortraits, calling on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Instagram users to post photos of what pride means to them using the #PridePortraits hashtag.

Not only is the photo campaign an excellent way for users to show their love and support for equality, but three lucky participants will receive the chance to go behind-the-scenes at NYC Pride this year, including exclusive access to the legendary Dance on the Pier featuring a performance by Demi Lovato.

"Images of loving LGBT families are at the heart of support for equality," GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said in a statement. "Social media is an especially powerful driving force for sharing stories, particularly those that change hearts and minds. As we mark the 45th anniversary of the historic Stonewall riots, GLAAD is thrilled to join Instagram in bringing #PridePortraits to millions of users across the globe as we unite to celebrate LGBT Pride."
