Surfing can bring moments of pure soul-satisfying bliss. And sometimes, that bliss is interrupted with chaos.
Pure soul-sucking chaos.
The man in the video above experienced that rude interruption when another surfer lost control of his board while riding a wave. Oddly enough, it seems like the collision could have been avoided if the camera-wielding victim moved just a teensy bit to his right during the eight seconds before impact. Perhaps he was mesmerized by the sun glimmering over the ocean. Or maybe watching the other surfer glide with the wave put him in a Zen-like trance.
Whatever the case, the victim seemed to have enough time and awareness to yell, "It's coming right at me!"
It's safe to say he definitely saw that one coming.
