Shia LaBeouf Seeking Treatment For Alcoholism, Has Not Checked Into Rehab (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Shia LaBeouf has not checked into rehab, as reported by X17Online, however the actor's rep told TMZ he is seeking treatment for alcohol addiction.

The actor's rep told TMZ, "he has taken the first of many necessary steps toward recovery."

PREVIOUSLY: Shia LaBeouf has checked into an out-patient rehab facility, reports X17Online.

After getting kicked out of a Broadway musical, and subsequently arrested and charged with criminal trespass, harassment and disorderly conduct, before nearly getting in a fight with a random person outside a New York strip club, the troubled actor is reportedly seeking help for his issues.

Request for comment made by the Huffington Post to LaBeouf's rep has yet to be returned at this time, however, X17Online reports that they followed the actor from his Hollywood Hills home, to a private facility where other celebrities have sought treatment. According to the website, the 28-year-old actor was spotted carrying the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Blue Book.

LaBeouf has been spiraling out of control for some time, and hopefully will get the help he needs in rehab.
