Sherri Shepherd Gets Emotional On Final Episode Of 'The View'

WATCH: Sherri Shepherd's Tearful Goodbye

Sherri Shepherd was all tears during her final episode on 'The View.'

The co-host filmed her last live episode on Thursday, but Monday's pre-recorded edition was her last appearance on the daytime talk show. As tears strolled down her face, Shepherd reflected on the hardships she experienced when she first took the gig.

"It was very painful," she said. "I cried in my dressing room for 3 years, going ‘Why am I at this table? I don't know what I'm doing."

Shepherd announced in June that she would be leaving the show after seven years. Jenny McCarthy will also not be returning, leaving Whoopi Goldberg as the only remaining co-host. Rosie O'Donnell recently revealed that she will be returning once again, and the show is still trying out other guest co-hosts before making a final decision.

Shepherd called her time on 'The View' "the best seven years of my life." The co-host, who will make her Broadway debut in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" in September, told viewers that she won't be gone for long.

"It is now time for my new view," she said in her final moments. "I promise, I will see you again real soon."
