Biden Congratulates 'Fellow Veep' On Big Win

Vice President Joe Biden congratulated his "fellow veep" Julia Louis-Dreyfus, recognizing her Emmy win in a tweet on Tuesday.

On Monday, Dreyfus took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for the third year in a row for her portrayal of Vice President Selina Meyer on the HBO show "Veep." Biden tweeted his congratulations to his friend:

Biden and Louis-Dreyfus have met several times since the latter stopped by the VP's office in 2013 to offer up some "advice" before the season two premiere of her show. The two met again in February 2014 at a state dinner honoring French President Francois Hollande.

The two also teamed up -- with Louis-Dreyfus in character as Meyers -- for a night of debauchery documented in a video shown during the 2014 White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Dreyfus got more than just an Emmy on Monday. The former "Seinfeld" star got a major kiss from "Breaking Bad" actor Bryan Cranston on her way up to the stage to accept her award.

UPDATE: Louis-Dreyfus responded to the VP with a tweet of her own:
