Nobody Can Fill This Baseball Manager's Shoes When It Comes To Freaking Out

Tommy Thompson, manager of baseball's Winston-Salem Dash, took off his shoes during a game Monday and left them at home plate.

To be polished? To be polite? To protest athlete's foot? Because Minor League managers can't stop stripping?

None of the above. Thompson was reportedly angry that a check swing by an opposing player wasn't ruled a strike. So he went ballistic, removing his shoes and placing them at the dish, then going nose to nose with umpire Eric Bacchus. Other theatrics ensue.

Winston-Salem lost to the Carolina Mudcats, 6-5, in 12 innings.

Nice socks, Tommy.
