Offstage, Broadway stars such as Adriane Lenox, Billy Porter, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Bette Midler, Valisia LeKae and Idina Menzel have lent more than their voices to philanthropic efforts and charitable causes. Veteran entertainment journalist Karu F. Daniels caught up to Lenox, a Tony Award winner last seen on Broadway in 'After Midnight,' to discuss her involvement in Covenant House's annual Sleep Out campaign. Also, fellow Tony Award winner Porter, currently kicking it up in 'Kinky Boots,' talks about causes that are close to his heart.
