Jimmy Fallon And 'Sesame Street' Prove Your Childhood Was Hilarious

Big Bird is all about those retweets.

To celebrate "Sesame Street's" 45th anniversary, Jimmy Fallon brought in help from Elmo, Cookie Monster and his other Muppet pals to read his favorite #WhenIWasAKid tweets.

In the classic style of the PBS show, the video teaches us a lot. For instance, everyone growing up thought there was a big letter in the middle of the alphabet called "elemeno," and, despite the catchy theme song, no one actually knows how to get to "Sesame Street."

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
