If you're having trouble sticking to your diet, health and nutrition expert Joy Bauer says that figuring out what time of day or night you tend to fall off the wagon is a good way to address the problem. According to Joy, most of us tend to cheat at night, when we let loose from our stressful work day and want to reward ourselves with things like chocolate and ice cream. Distract yourself from doing this by having a nighttime plan that doesn't involve food -- whether it's emailing three friends that you haven't spoken to in a while, going for a run, or catching up on your favorite TV show.
