Guilder Rodriguez's First Major League Hit Was 13 Years In The Making (VIDEO)

Guilder Rodriguez had been waiting 13 seasons and 1,095 minor leagues games for this moment.

After spending his entire career in the minors, the Texas Rangers shortstop made his MLB debut earlier this month. On Monday, he finally logged his first big league hit. The 31-year-old, who had played more minor league games without MLB experience than anyone in baseball, received an enthusiastic response from his dugout and a standing ovation from Rangers fans.

Rodriguez's father was there for the special moment and started weeping with tears of joy.

"This is one of the best moments of my life," said Rodriguez after the game, via ESPNDallas.com. "My first big league hit, my first RBI, my father in the stands, my wife. This is my second-best moment, after my two daughters were born."
