The Countries Where Grandparents Have It Best (And Worst)

Florida’s palm trees and retirement communities may attract millions of American seniors, but when it comes to countries to spend your golden years, Norway is the place to be.

That’s according to the Global AgeWatch Index, released on Wednesday (just in time for the U.N. International Day of Older Persons) by senior advocacy group HelpAge International. The report ranked 96 nations—where 91 percent of people 60 and over live—based on the welfare of their elderly.
