Look, Major League Baseball Players Flop Too

ASSOCIATED PRESS

St. Louis Cardinals catcher A.J. Pierzynski proved that Major League Baseball players flop as well on Wednesday night.

With a baserunner on first in the second inning of Game 4 of the NLCS, San Francisco Giants first baseman Travis Ishikawa struck out and accidentally struck Pierzynski as he followed through on his swing. The baserunner, Giants outfielder Hunter Pence, tried to steal second as the ball got away from the veteran catcher. Pierzynski looked as if he was about to chase after the ball trickling away, but then he suddenly pulled off a delayed-flop and fell down. Whether or not the flop influenced the umpire, interference was called and Pence had to go back to first base.
