Back in July, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan called the band's latest album "some newly invented form." Now you can decide if that's true. The first finished track, "Being Beige," debuted on Rolling Stone on Monday with a simple chorus: "The world's on fire."

"Monuments To An Elegy," the band's 10th album studio, is due out Dec. 9 and is part of Smashing Pumpkins' super-album, "Teargarden By Kaleidyscope," which will comprise 44 songs. The band has plans to release another album, "Day For Night," next year.
