For This Waiter, A Ticket To The World Series Was Likely 'The Best Tip Ever'

Kansas City-Area Waiter Gets World Series Ticket As A Tip

A fellow employee called it the "best tip ever." And if you're a baseball fan, that would be hard to argue.

Ryan O'Connor was working the lunch shift at Rock & Brews near Kansas City, Missouri, on Tuesday, when he received the home run of gratuities: a ticket to the World Series opener. The tip was left by Katelyn Davis, the wife of Royals relief pitcher Wade Davis, KMBC reports.

"I started to walk away when I dropped off their check after they paid, and they said 'Hold on, I was going to give you a tip, but instead we thought you might want this," O'Connor told the station.

Unfortunately, the Royals lost to the San Francisco Giants Tuesday night. Still, the gift sure beats this tip from Eagles running back LeSean McCoy.
