Nobody On ESPN Saw Washington's Win Over Dallas Coming

Not one member of ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown" crew thought Washington, with third-string quarterback Colt McCoy starting, could pull off an upset win over Dallas in Jerry's World. Out of the nine analysts, all nine picked the heavily favored Cowboys to keep their winning streak going and improve to 7-1.

They were all wrong. McCoy and a stingy defense led Washington to a 20-17 overtime win against its NFC East Rival.

McCoy completed 25 of 30 passes for 299 yards and ran for a touchdown in his first start since 2011.

As ESPN's "Monday Night Football" commentator Jon Gruden said in the second quarter: “Anything goes on any given Sunday, especially on Monday night.”
