Norman Reedus Slams Reports He Begged 'Walking Dead' Producers To Not Make Daryl Gay

Reports have been circling that Norman Reedus did not want his "Walking Dead" character, Daryl Dixon, to be gay. But on Monday, Reedus took to Twitter to set the record straight.

After much fan and media speculation about Daryl's sexuality -- with creator Robert Kirkman even hinting that he may be gay -- Inquisitr, quoting The Globe which itself quoted Celeb Dirty Laundry, wrote an article claiming Reedus begged "The Walking Dead" producers to not make Daryl gay because he feared losing his swarm of female fans:

Insiders say he fears the same-sex shocker would hurt ratings by disappointing his legions of female fans. Norman isn’t anti-gay in his personal life, but he’s become one of the biggest male sex symbols in television. He gets thousands of fan letters from women each week – along with dozens of marriage proposals.

But Reedus debunked these so-called insiders' reports by posting the Inquisitr article, which has since been updated, along with a simple note to Twitter.
