John Oliver Shows Lowe's Home Improvement Stores Why Robot Assistants Are A Terrible Idea

There are some things that robots can't do, like diffuse the inevitable couple fight that takes place in every home improvement store.

On Sunday's "Last Week Tonight," John Oliver reported that Lowe's home improvement stores would be adding robot helpers to one of its stores. Aside from being mildly creepy and the sexual harassment lawsuits from Lowe's refrigerators, Oliver has a few reasons why he believes this is a terrible idea. He even offers Home Depot, Lowe's direct competitor, the perfect commercial response.

In the Home Depot commercial parody, Oliver enlists the help of Nick Offerman, H. Jon Benjamin and Sarah Baker to show us why robot assistants are incapable of remedying the lethal combination of everything in home improvement stores that can quickly destroy a relationship.

"Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" airs Sundays at 11:00PM EST on HBO.
