Rep. Luke Messer (R-Ind.) defeated Democrat Susan Hall Heitzman and libertarian Eric Hall Tuesday in the state's 6th District.
Messer was first elected to Congress in 2012. He served as president of his freshman GOP class in the House of Representatives.
