Mike Michaud Election Results: Democratic Governor Challenger Loses In Maine

Rep. Mike Michaud (D-Maine) lost to Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) in the state's high-profile gubernatorial race Tuesday.

Michaud, who was first elected to Congress in 2002, was running to become the first openly gay man ever elected as governor of a state.

LePage was considered one of the nation's most vulnerable governors ahead of Tuesday's election.
