Bruins Rookie Seth Griffith Doesn't Need To See The Goal To Score

Boston Bruins rookie Seth Griffith treated fans to a lesson in controlled chaos on Monday night as he scored an early candidate for goal of the year.

After blocking a shot in the second period against the New Jersey Devils, the Boston forward carried the puck the length of the ice only to meet resistance from defenseman Marek Zidlicky. Zidlicky turned Griffith around and seemingly thwarted the breakaway. But Griffith did not need to face the net to score. With his back to the goal, Griffith took a through-the-legs shot and put the puck past Devils goaltender Cory Schneider.

It was Griffith's fourth goal of he season as the Bruins went on to win 4-2.
