How To Combine Art And Science For A Truly Interdisciplinary College Education

Are you more left-brained or right-brained? What about both? No problem, here's some advice on how to approach creating an interdisciplinary education in college.

Noah Hutton, the filmmaker behind "Brain City," explained on HuffPost Live the difficulties he had combing the arts and sciences.

"There were challenges as far as I found in college, departments in both majors didn't really have a system set up for crossing over between the two," Hutton said.

Yet, Hutton figured out the right approach to take to combine his two interests.

"It's really up to the individual, I think, to figure out how each can mutually enrich the other. I think this is about becoming not more of a specialist in either one, but more of becoming a generalist," he explained.
