"Saturday Night Live" will close out 2014 with a star-studded roster of December hosts.

Leading the succession of very serious actors coming to the comedy show will be James Franco, hosting for his third time, on Dec. 6. That show will feature Nicki Minaj, who should probably be a host herself, as musical guest. This marks Minaj's second "SNL" appearance.

The following week, on Dec. 13, Martin Freeman will host for his first time to promote the upcoming film "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies." Fellow first timer Charli XCX will act as musical guest. Finally, closing out the month on Dec. 20 will be Amy Adams, hosting for a second time. One Direction will be the musical guest (their third time on the show). Merry Christmas, y'all!
