'Today' Co-Hosts Play Along With Headline Rumors About Them

If everything written in the headlines were true, Natalie Morales and Willie Geist would be fired, Tamron Hall would be at MSNBC or CNN and Al Roker would be in the corner talking to himself.

The co-hosts of "Today" decided to play along with some of the latest media rumors about them Thursday morning, following a day of relentless talk that Morales and Geist had been pushed out of the morning show.

"What are you doing here?" a shocked and surprised Hall asked Morales when the cameras came back on.

"Sorry, guys, you're stuck with me," Morales said. "And you're stuck with Willie."

"No!" Hall cried. "That's not what I read on the Internet!"

"Aren't you supposed to be at MSNBC?" Roker then asked Hall.

"I got demoted, bye!" Hall shot back.

"And I'm crazy!" Al added.

On Wednesday, NBC News President Deborah Turness released a statement shutting down any reports that Morales and Geist had been fired, and reaffirmed her support for the entire "Today" team.

But Geist joked that he didn't get the memo: "Natalie and I walked into work yesterday and looked at each other and said, 'what are you doing here?!'"
