Bill O'Reilly Launches First Counter-Offensive In The 'War On Christmas'

November is officially over. And with December's arrival, Bill O'Reilly heads into the trenches for an annual battle against the "War on Christmas."

Yes, for years the Fox News host has been scrambling to save Christmas from a slew of threats, and 2014 will be no exception.

"Every Christmas season there are people who try to diminish the celebration of Jesus's birthday," he began.

O'Reilly launched his 2014 attack Tuesday night, taking on all the "War on Christmas" deniers who say he's just making this stuff up. He pulled up an image of a billboard, posted by American Atheists, advising children to "skip church" on Christmas, signaling the first skirmish in this year's conflict.

"I cannot understand for the life of me why anyone would bother trying to diminish the federal holiday of Christmas," he said.

Stay tuned, for there will surely be more to come.
