Coldplay's Next Album, 'A Head Full Of Dreams,' May Be Their Last

When you try your best and succeed wildly, eventually it's time to call it quits. Coldplay is apparently flirting with that notion right now. Chris Martin gave an interview on Thursday to BBC Radio’s Zane Lowe in which he revealed the title of Coldplay's seventh album, "A Head Full of Dreams," and said it might be the group's last.

“We're right in the middle of it," Martin said of making "A Head Full of Dreams." "It's our seventh thing and the way we look at it, it's like the last 'Harry Potter' book. That's not to say there won’t be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something. I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it. Then we will go on tour."

That sounds pretty indefinite and it's a little hard to imagine the omnipresent Chris Martin packing it in soon. But if the quartet decides they've had enough melancholy for one generation, we'll have to just watch that scene from "The Newsroom" where everyone runs around in slow motion while "Fix You" plays. Or the opening moments of "Boyhood," which feature "Yellow." Or perhaps the trailer for the 2003 "Peter Pan" movie that used "Clocks." (You get the point, right?)
