While some of the details of the CIA's secret torture program have leaked out over the years, Tuesday's report contained plenty of information that many found shocking. Some of those details had "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart at a loss for words.
Stewart took a long pause after hearing the descriptions of the torture, including food being rectally infused into prisoners. When he finally spoke, it was to throw to a video showing his reaction -- a segment from "Monty Python's The Meaning of Life" featuring projectile vomit.
"Y'know, it’s funny. I just made this movie about a guy who triumphs over the inhuman conditions in his imprisonment in an authoritarian country, and I don’t think they did half that shit to him,” Stewart said, referring to "Rosewater," his new film about Iranian journalist Maziar Bahari.
"That was probably worse because Maziar was completely innocent," Stewart added, before showing a clip in which Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said at least 26 of the U.S. torture victims were wrongfully held.
Stewart then shared another clip of the projectile vomit before struggling with his words yet again.
