We may have to say goodbye to Joan Holloway next year, but Christina Hendricks isn't going far away from the television world. The Emmy-nominated actress is joining Cameron Crowe's Showtime pilot "Roadies," the network announced on Monday. The one-hour comedy will follow a touring rock band through the eyes of the titular crew members who make it all happen. Hendricks will play Shelli, the band’s production manager who is "married to her job," but tough and emotional.

"Roadies" will also star Luke Wilson as the recently sober tour manager and Imogen Poots as an electrical technician. Rafe Spall, Peter Cambor, and Keisha Castle-Hughes are also in the cast. Crowe will write and direct the pilot and the series will be executive produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk ("Lost").

Besides "Roadies," Hendricks will also appear in the film adaptation of Gillian Flynn's Dark Places. The final episodes of "Mad Men" will air in 2015.
