Dick Cheney's Mind Is 'The Scariest F--king Place In The Universe,' Says Jon Stewart

Stewart: Dick Cheney's Mind Is 'The Scariest F--king Place In The Universe'

It was a rare moment on "The Daily Show" Monday night as host Jon Stewart offered a heartfelt thank-you to former President George W. Bush.

"Thank you for not dying while you were in office," Stewart said.

The sudden burst of gratitude stemmed from seeing clips of Bush's vice president, Dick Cheney, rationalizing the CIA's interrogation methods, refusing to admit techniques such as waterboarding qualify as torture.

"I would do it again in a minute," Cheney declared Sunday on "Meet the Press."

"And that, ladies and gentlemen, that's the best thing about Dick Cheney: he's impervious to doubt," Stewart said. "Never enters his mind."

Stewart's takedown of Cheney takes a look inside the mind of the former vice president -- or, as Stewart called it, "the scariest fucking place in the universe."
