Bush was rushed to Houston's Methodist Hospital on Dec. 23 after experiencing shortness of breath. The 90-year-old remained hospitalized for a week as a precaution.
"Both President and Mrs. Bush wish to thank everyone for their good wishes and prayers," McGrath said in a Monday statement.
Starting in Nov. 2012, Bush was hospitalized for nearly two months due to a persistent bronchitis-related cough. He was released in Jan. 2013.
