Put on a sun hat and mix up some mint juleps: Target has announced it's teaming up with Lilly Pulitzer for its next designer collaboration!
Lilly Pulitzer needs no introduction. We're sure you're fully familiar with the brand's signature eye-catching prints in beachy pinks, greens, yellow and blues, which adorn everything from tunics to cell phone cases. And while the Palm Beach-inspired company, which was founded in 1959, has a distinct retro look, they have managed to stay young and fresh over the years.
“The Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection marks a new chapter for our brand, and we’re excited to give Lilly fans everywhere, including those who have loved the brand for years and those who will get to know it for the first time through this collaboration, a chance to experience this incredibly chic lifestyle collection, said Jane Schoenborn, vice president/creative communications at Lilly Pulitzer, in a press release.
Editors, bloggers and fashion insiders were on hand for Target's big reveal Tuesday night at the Four Seasons Restaurant in New York City, where we got the chance to check out the 250-piece collection that includes apparel, accessories, beach gear, travel essentials, dishes, glasses, and more. Retail prices start at $2 and go up to $150, with more than 200 items that cost $30 or less. And there's even a full plus-size collection. YES! But sadly it will only be available online.
The collection launches on April 19 -- just in time for some fun in the sun. Mark your calendars and check out the slideshow below for photos for the collection.
