Here's one diamond that was literally in the rough.
When Stephanie Lamb discovered her $23,000 engagement ring and wedding band were no longer sitting on the coffee table where she had left them, she knew her Labrador puppy, Sierra, was the culprit.
"I knew it was Sierra because she's just a little bit of a troublemaker, she's kind of the instigator," Lamb told FOX23 News.
Sure enough, an X-ray exposed the rings in Sierra's stomach, and she had to undergo emergency surgery to get them out lest the bling damage her intestines. According to the veterinarian who performed the surgery, Sierra will need a few days to heal, but then she'll be fine.
Lamb's son Brody was especially relieved. When he saw his mom without her wedding rings, he thought it meant that "my mom and dad weren't married anymore," Brody said.
