A police office in Texas was arrested for the second time in three weeks on charges of indecency with a child and possession of child pornography.
Richard Scott Bradford, a 15-year veteran of the Plano Police Department, was placed on administrative leave while authorities investigate the incidents, NBC DFW reports. The 45-year-old officer was arrested Thursday by the Collin County sheriff’s office.
On Dec. 23, 2014, Bradford was in custody on similar charges, WFAA reports.
An arrest warrant and court documents reveal allegations against Bradford including reports that he inappropriately touched a 9-year-old girl and stored pornographic images of children on his phone.
According to the arrest warrant on the indecency charge, a 9-year-old girl reported that Bradford touched her inappropriately on Dec. 22 while she was sleeping. She told police she woke up and saw Bradford with his pants down, the warrant stated. The girl reported what happened to her mother, who contacted authorities, the warrant stated.
According to the court documents, investigators obtained search warrants for Bradford’s cellphone and the contents of that cellphone the same day he was arrested. The report states investigators found multiple images of child pornography stored on the phone.
Bradford was released the same day of his second offense after paying part of a $25,000 bond, WFAA reports.
The Collin County Sheriff's Office will be handling the criminal investigation.
