Were This Year's Golden Globes The 'Transgender Tipping Point'?

When we sat down to watch the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards, we expected the glitz and the glamour and perhaps some drunk acceptance speeches. But what we got was so much more. This year, the awards show became a bona fide celebration of women in television and film. From Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s joyous monologue (victoriously dividing the nation over who did a better Cosby impression), to Maggie Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, and Patricia Arquette’s moving acceptance speeches, it was the Vagina Monologues over at the Beverly Hilton!
