The 'Friends' Opening Sequence Without Music Is Actually Really Creepy

Don't lie; the "Friends" theme song has been your jam since the '90s comedy hit Netflix on Jan. 1. But have you ever wondered what that opening sequence would sound like without the Rembrandts crooning about how they'll be there for you?

Sound artists House Of Halo -- also responsible for stripping the music from videos for Pharrell's "Happy" and Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" -- decided to find out by removing the theme song and adding their own sound effects, including a super short rendition of "Smelly Cat" and a whole lot of splashing.
