Colin Farrell Speaks Out For Same-Sex Marriage In Ireland

WATCH: Colin Farrell Takes Major Pro-Gay Stand

We love Colin Farrell!

The A-lister recently sat down with Irish TV network RTE to discuss his support for a referendum that would legalize marriage between same-sex couples in Ireland. Throughout the interview Farrell details his experiences growing up with a gay brother and how this relationship came to inform his support for the queer community.

"Same-sex couples are already parents in Ireland... without same-sex marriage being legalized, without the constitution being changed to support this demographic of our community, it's the children who are going to be left in the dark if there's a separation," Farrell states in the above interview. "It's the children that won't have the equal rights as the children of straight couples who are married -- so the children are actually going to suffer."

Farrell previously spoke out about his support for same-sex marriage in Ireland and his gay brother through an open letter published last November. Check out the video above.
