Seatbelts save lives, but they are also engaged in a plot to ensnare the human race.
That is a joke of course, (sorry to offend you, seatbelt overlords!) but just try telling this guy that seatbelts aren't up to something nefarious.
"We were on our way home from Massachusetts and made a pit stop, Clint figured he could stretch his legs, the seat belt had locked up and this is how it went," writes Bonnie Chadbourne in the video description posted on Facebook.
The video shows Clint helplessly trying to wriggle free from the seatbelt's clutches. Chadbourne notes that Clint was eventually set free without the aid of medical professionals or other seatbelt experts.
In a followup post, Chadbourne said she's blown away by the video's viral success. The clip was viewed more than 29 million times.
"It was never my intent nor could I ever had imagined that this video would touch so many," Chadbourne said. "When someone writes that they were having a bad day and after seeing the video they have tears running down their face and they mean happy tears it makes us feel very humble."
Perhaps Clint can take comfort in the fact that this is far from an isolated incident. Seatbelts are after us all!
In all seriousness, please wear your seatbelt. They are important and normally docile.
