Abraham Lincoln Reacts To Mike Pence's 'Terrible' Theater Experience

"Hope you're OK, Mike." — Lincoln's ghost
HuffPost/Andy McDonald

On Friday, when theater-goers seeing “Hamilton” the musical were told that Vice President-elect Mike Pence was in attendance, they erupted in a mix of cheers and (mostly) boos.

At the end of the show, the cast took the stage and delivered a respectful message to Pence, who has taken anti-LGBTQ stances in the past: Represent all Americans.

Permanent glass house resident Donald Trump took to Twitter to, absurdly, demand than an apology be given to his running mate.

Yeahhhhh.

The internet didn’t see it that way, and was not as kind to Pence. They compared his experience with Abraham Lincoln’s, who had, undoubtedly, a worse time at the theater.
