New Boss Ladies in the Game

There is a new generation of fierce females making waves in Hollywood. And let's be clear, we love strong females. One way or another, that's why we started our little business to help them shine. Although these women have been in the game for quite sometime now, recently their names have been seeing larger and bolder fonts on covers of magazines around the world. These leading ladies aren't just one-trick performers. They're triple threats of multi-talent. These models, comedians and actresses are Hollywood powerhouses on the rise:

Amy Schumer, 34, Comedian/Actress/America's next "Bachelorette"*

Amy earned her "big break" on the fifth season of Last Comic Standing in 2007, where she was the fourth finalist. From there, Amy cut her teeth over the years making appearances on various Comedy Central specials. Finally, in 2013, Inside Amy Schumer premiered (plan your girl's nights accordingly -- a fourth season is now in the works). If you've been in a grocery store, or basically anywhere in public, you've seen Amy's face (and often most of her bare body) splashed across the cover of nearly every magazine. You're next, Better Homes and Gardens. As the writer of her new blockbuster Trainwreck, in which she holds down the leading role, Amy is shredding gender roles, proving women can be just as powerful and hilarious as men.

*Disclaimer: This probably will never happen, but Schumer has voiced this fantasy when she made a cameo in the latest season of The Bachelorette.

Mindy Kaling, 36, Comedian/Actress/Author/Professional Ben Affleck impersonator

Mindy has been turning heads in the entertainment industry since her sophomore year at Dartmouth. Kaling's initial gains in the industry came with her off-Broadway play, Matt and Ben, which mocked and fantasized the friendship between Damon and Affleck. The young comedian continued carving out her career as an executive producer, director, and writer for The Office. Today, you can find her starring in her own show, The Mindy Project, or mingling on the shelves with other New York Times Best Sellers. If you haven't already bought her book Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (and Other Concerns), you're doing yourself an injustice. If you have bought it, but just haven't read it yet, then what are you waiting for?!

Lena Dunham, 29, Actress/Author/Producer/Director/Avid sleeper

Like Kaling, Dunham's climb to notoriety began in college, where she produced several short films and web series. In 2010, her first feature film Tiny Furniture won several Film Festival Awards, thus landing her a deal with HBO, the home of our beloved show Girls. Dunham's recent book release, Not that Kind of Girl, garnered much criticism and controversy. These seemingly negative responses proved to be a blessing, as Dunham reached #2 on the New York Times Best Sellers List. In her unfiltered reflections on life portrayed in short essays, Lena brings humor and honesty to growing up, or at least trying. Despite her laundry list of talents, Dunham brags that her best quirk is her innate ability to fall asleep anytime, anywhere. If only we were all so lucky.

Cara Delevingne, 22, Model/Actress/Member of T-Swift's "Bad Blood" army

Delevigne's modeling roots took hold in 2009, when she signed with Storm Model Management (yes, the very source of the great Kate Moss). Since then, she has conquered nearly every big name runway, including the Victoria Secret's Fashion Show. Presently, Cara's bold brow can be found on every magazine cover that Amy Schumer hasn't taken. This is due to her breakout role on the big screen in John Green's Paper Towns. Delevingne's carefree, rebellious image extends from the big screen to Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video, where she bands together with the rest of the kick-ass fem fatales.

Zoe Kravitz, 26, Actress/ Model/ Singer/Amy Schumer Enthusiast

Famous rock star DILF or not, Zoe has made a name for herself in Hollywood's acting and music industry. After several low-key roles throughout her youth, Kravitz snagged a starring role in X-Men: First Class. She's now a member of the Divergent and Insurgent franchise, as well as the new Mad Max: Fury Road. You'll be seeing a lot more of this young starlet for she has 6+ new films coming out within the year!

Gwendoline Christie, 37, Actress/Model/Child Gymnast

This 6'3" blonde powerhouse was originally a gymnast, but she turned to acting after a spinal injury. Christie is most well known for her kick ass heroine role as Brienne of Tarth on HBO's Game of Thrones (and if you haven't been watching Game of Thrones, then it's time to reevaluate your priorities.) Christie now has her hands in two more major projects this year. Be sure to catch her in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, which premieres November 20th, and then catch her on December 18th in Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Kate Mara, 32, Actress/Vegan Enthusiast

Kate has a long history in some of our favorite TV dramas such as 24, CSI, SVU, Nip Tuck, Entourage, and American Horror Story. You undoubtedly recognize her from your Netflix binges of House of Cards. Mara has also appeared in some notable Hollywood films such as Transcendence, Brokeback Mountain, Shooter, Iron Man 2, and 127 Hours. With her coveted starring role as Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four and her five other movies in the works, 2015 is shaping up to be a career-making year for Ms. Mara.
