I'm an Arkansas girl who recently (blessedly) returned home from a decade in Cajun country, a new wife and the kinda mom who can't manage to get everything on the school supply list. But, who can cook a shrimp and grits that’ll bring you to tears.

I am a joyful (and messy) believer in Jesus, a newlywed and a mom to one wild, sweet five-year-old boy. I write. I take pictures. I paint. I write some more. I am an Arkansas native who has nearly mastered a gluten-free roux after a decade spent living in south Louisiana. I am a city girl living by a creek, which means I'm a self tanner addict with a penchant for long fireside chats and watching fireflies ... unless the weather doesn't suit me. I believe most situations can be handled with some combination of red lipstick, goldfish crackers and cold sweet tea. I am a lover of black and white photos, local honey and kimonos. I believe motherhood (and life) done honestly is the most gloriously messy and unglamorous endeavor worth all the pain.
