Amir Salehzadeh is a senior at the University of California, Berkeley studying Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies. He writes for PolicyMic, a fast-growing digital journalism start up. And reports on progressive economics and healthcare for the Center for American Progress - Generation Progress. He has held positions in government including: working for the California Governor and for Congresswoman Barbara Lee. Amir has also interned for a political digital strategy firm for the last year and a half. He plans on pursuing a career in political strategy and digital journalism. His travels back to Iran have developed a specific interest in U.S.–Iran relations.
