Walking across Africa to raise money for clean water

Since middle school, I knew I always wanted to do something with my life that was significant, that somehow would impact others lives for the better.

I think most people who have that thought normally end up as doctors, nurses, or teachers.

But, I was a business major. (With a nonprofit concentration).

And for now, that's part of how I'm trying to do my part to help the world.
I have a nonprofit called Walk4Water, and its our goal to raise funds and awareness for the cause of clean water by doing crazy and impossible things.

Our big project is going to be a 7000 mile walk across Africa from Cape Town to Cairo, starting in January 2012.

To warm up I am doing walking in CT, CA and maybe other states as well.

We concentrate on clean water because we see it as a fundamental building block to ending poverty as a whole.

I'll be updating this blog with updates on how training is going, funny stories about things that happen along the way, and inspirational stories about other people that I might meet. So, expect a whole spectrum of laughter, tears, and challenge, as I try to figure this whole thing out.
